Marea Art Project APS joins the 20th Contemporary Art Day, an event promoted by AMACI Musei with the support of the Direzione Generale creativit\u00e0 contemporanea del Ministero della Cultura, and with the collaboration of the Direzione Generale per la Diplomazia Pubblica e Culturale del Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale, which has been bringing contemporary art to the general public since 2005.<\/p>

Saturday 12 October 2024, in collaboration with the LeWitt Collection, Marea will open the doors of Casa L'Orto in Praiano to accompany guests on a guided tour of the house, of the Wall Drawings kept inside and of the ancient terraces and organic gardens that surround the area.<\/p>

Built-in the 1700s by the ancestors of Carol LeWitt Chairman of the Governing Board at Yale University Art Gallery<\/span> patron, and wife of LeWitt, the house stands in Praiano near Torre a Mare, an ancient Spanish watchtower. The beauty and sense of peace within its walls and the bounty of the surrounding vegetation immediately captivated the artist when he began frequenting the village of Praiano around the mid-1970s. Among the LeWitt properties, Casa L'Orto is the only one to feature wall drawings by the artist inside.<\/p>

Furthermore, during the day, the Marea Art Project will illustrate the work of artists involved during the artistic residencies and the artworks created during the first two years of activity.<\/p>
