Apply for a Residency with Marea

Marea Art Project promotes an international expression of interest addressed to artists and arts professionals who intend to participate in the call of Culture Moves Europe under the Individual Mobility strand and who are seeking an international partner.

Applicants are invited to develop a research, experimentation, or production project in dialogue with the cultural, social, and anthropological context of the Amalfi Coast, Southern Italy, and in connection with the Mediterranean, in line with the curatorial practice of Marea Art Project.

The initiative aims to select artists and arts professionals to whom Marea Art Project will issue an official letter of invitation and collaboration, necessary to apply to the European programme Culture Moves Europe – Mobility of Artists, under the strand dedicated to the individual mobility of artists.

The artist must be legally resident in one of the countries participating in the Creative Europe programme, including Overseas Countries and Territories and Outermost Regions, with the exception of the country where the residency takes place (Italy); must be at least 18 years old; and must operate in one of the following fields: music, performing arts, visual arts, cultural anthropology, literature, architecture, etc.

Project proposals may be submitted until Sunday, 22 March 2026.

Selected artists undertake to submit their application independently to Culture Moves Europe, respecting the official deadlines of 31 March 2026 or 30 April 2026, according to the assigned residency period.

Two residency periods are planned:

3 - 24 November 2026 (21 days)
1 - 22 December 2026 (21 days)
